Slocum Township  Volunteer Fire Company is a purely non-profit volunteer organization that provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to our community and our neighboring communities.  We offer many types of public services along side our duties to our community.  All of our equipment and training is purchased by community support (donations, community events, etc) and government grants.  Our department works closely with our township to support each other to better serve the residents of Slocum Township.  We respond to about 100 fire/rescue calls per year and often top 300 emergency medical calls a year.  Our members are offered over 250 hours of training at our station per year and many more at outside departments to help provide these services in a safe and effective manner.

We are one of the few remaining departments that continue to offer our fire, rescue, and emergency medical services as one organization.  This allows us to be highly efficient at any duty we may be called to perform, while also cross training our members to be able to handle any situation.
